> England 927 is a community campaign for an official birthday and an English History Month, marking 1,100 years since the founding of England on the 12th of July 927. The campaign has its own independent petition. This site is run by Greystokes Foundation and is not affiliated with the UK Government.

- England's founding date in this campaign: the 12th of July 927, when the Kings of Britain met at Eamont Bridge, near Penrith, and acknowledged Æthelstan as ruler of all the English.
- England's 1,100th birthday: the 12th of July 2027.
- The ask: an official recognition of England's birthday, an English History Month each year from the 12th of July to the 12th of August, and a national holiday on the 12th of July, called "England's Birthday".
- The campaign is a heritage movement, not a political one. It is open to every background, faith and family.

- It is not a UK Parliament petition and not a Government petition. It does not carry an automatic right to a Government response or a parliamentary debate.
- Who can sign: British citizens and UK residents, including British citizens living abroad.
- A signature is counted only after the signer confirms their email address.
- The goal: 100,000 confirmed signatures, when the campaign will approach the Government personally with the petition and invite the media to take note. It stays open towards the one million milestone and beyond.
